Super friendly environment
The owner of the Golden Hostel, Allan, was very welcoming! The second I arrive I felt like I am in a safe and caring environment! He helped me a lot with my planings for Singapore so it never got boarding during my eight days stay. 10/10 !

The owner was kind and try to help but he couldn't fix the situation. Not a nice experience
We book hostal room for 4 people and they didn't organize to have the beds in the same one. The owner was kind and find another room for us, kind of upgrade, but anyway we share with someone else. There was just one toilet and one shower for 5 rooms in the second floor, always busy. The whole family was living there wich means full fridge, clothes everywhere, etc. I have no problem with homestay but they should say is a homestay not a hostal. There was no key for the room so it was always open, the owner entry 2 times to change the Aircon temperature while we where inside, no privacy at all!! The second day they where doing works and there was hips of noise in the morning. Not just us, other guest where not happy either. The breakfast was just white toast but never top up coffee or tea, just one drink option. Small bed, not even 1.80

Got an room upgrade for free since i was the only girl...
Got an room upgrade for free since i was the only girl sleeping in the mixed room accommodation. Super friendly and helpful staff! We where 5 people staying over and we were all satisfied.
Maybe a bit more variation in the breakfast.

Homely stay in SG
The location is strategic. It's close to bus station that gets you everywhere in SG. By using bus everywhere, more sights to see. The facilities are relatively complete. Breakfast is available. Shampoo and soap are available. Friendly and attentive hosts/staff.
It's relatively less well-kept compared to other hostels I've stayed in. Limited toilet. No universal adapter and towel options.
